SPRING EVENT – “TRAVEL- NEAR AND FAR” – MARCH 18, 2020
Please mark your calendar and join us on March 18, 2020 for RECOM’s Spring Event. The theme will be “Travel Near and Far.” We will have speakers from AAA Arizona and the Arizona Office of Tourism with a focus on travel opportunities and tips for seniors. Our featured speaker will be Howard Seftel, retired restaurant critic for the Arizona Republic. Mr. Seftel is an entertaining speaker and very knowledgeable about the Phoenix dining scene.
RECOM members will enjoy an excellent buffet lunch with a variety of delicious choices. This event IS FOR MEMBERS ONLY. THIS INCLUDES SPOUSES/PARTNERS. Please join RECOM today if you plan to attend. You can go to http://recomaz.org/page-3/ to see the options to join RECOM.
The Holiday Inn at Country Club and U.S. 60 will host the meeting. Check-in will begin at 9:00 am, with the program starting promptly at 9:30 am.
PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Pre-registration will start February 26 and end March 10. If you register and later determine that you will be unable to attend, please contact Peggy Haney at 480-969-1706 or firstname.lastname@example.org to cancel your registration. Please, please remember that RECOM is charged for anyone who registers but has not cancelled prior to March 13. Thank you for your courtesy. .. and for helping RECOM be good stewards of your membership dues.
You can either register online (click on link from e-mail blast invitation) or contact Peggy Haney at 480-969-1706 starting February 26. AS ATTENDANCE WILL BE LIMITED TO 150, PLEASE REGISTER EARLY SO YOU ARE NOT LEFT OUT. In the event, that you are unable to pre-register due to the limit, you may contact Peggy to be placed on a stand-by list in the event of a late cancellation. Peggy will contact you IF there is an opening.
RECOM will again be supporting the United Food Bank by collecting MONETARY DONATIONS ONLY. The Food Bank actually gets more “bang for their buck” this way, as they can purchase food cheaper than individuals can – and, by making a monetary donation, it saves you from having to shop and bring the donations. Envelopes for monetary donations will be available at the meeting, and your contribution can be made by cash, check, or credit card. Please be as generous as possible, as the shelves are empty. Thank you!!
